These tracks in more recent times had been released as Disc 2 on the 2004 remaster issue of ‘More than meets the eye’ however this has long been deleted.
These demos feature musicians who were part of the very early Jadis history in a time when we were making cassettes to send to various record labels and venues around the country. Some of the recordings are somewhat naive as they were recorded on what was then known as 4 track Portastudios. However by the late 80’s we were fortunate enough to have met up with Steve Rothery of Marillion who was extremely generous in helping us by producing some demos at his home and Woodcray studio in Berkshire. We learnt an incredible amount from Steve during that time as Marillion had only recently had a hit with ‘Kayleigh’ and were soon to be embarking on the ‘Clutching at Straws’ tour in 88/89 and incredibly for Jadis we were invited to support them on the UK part of their tour including 2 night at Hammersmith Odeon. We have always been incredibly grateful to Steve for his kindness,generosity and support during that time.

It's all a matter of taste. I love this album. I love it's serenity, the beautiful instrumentation, orchestration and the great production. Ambient is not my cup of tea either, but this album crosses the borders of ambient music and prog. In other words: an awesome album! Martin Melis
